And the Best Hot Chocolate Is...
Last month we asked YOU where to go for the BEST hot chocolate. And boy did you ever deliver! Between Facebook, Instagram, emails, and texts, we had enough suggestions to keep us quite busy!
Needless to say, we’ve been keeping our bellies warm with hot chocolate for the last few weeks, searching out a perfectly blended, soul-stirring, liquid confection. There were many stellar hot drinks (and to be honest, not a single disappointment), but one cup stood out above the rest.
Saturday’s Waffle
This cup of tasty cocoa starts with hot milk and melted chocolate (no powder here). Add in homemade marshmallows, and you have a treat for the soul. Smooth, frothy, and with a hint of vanilla, you can’t go wrong with a cup of Gourmet Hot Chocolate from Saturday’s Waffle.

The fact that the cup of hot chocolate (overflowing with homemade whipped cream!) is perfectly paired with one of their signature waffles makes this treat a must-try.
To get a hot cup of steamy, dreamy goodness (and the best liege waffles on the planet) visit the Saturday’s Waffle trailer every Saturday at one of the locations below:

Homemade Hot Chocolate Hacks
Along with great places for hot chocolate, you introduced us to some great homemade tricks to make yummy hot cocoa. Here are some of our faves:
Add 1 tsp. almond extract and a pinch of sea salt (or substitute almond for amaretto, for a grown-up sip)
Add 2 tbsp. of your favorite coffee creamer and then marshmallows
Add a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream (or any other flavor) and top with whipped cream
Sprinkle cinnamon in the cocoa before adding whipped cream
Add 1 crushed candy cane to hot cocoa and let sit for 5 min. before sipping (for grown ups, try adding peppermint schnapps instead)
